It seems like yesterday…

26 May

that we were curled up under her “big cover” on the living room floor watching Full House.

that we were picking houses and cars on our way to church on Sunday mornings.

that we were singing our self-written Club Song to the tune of an old hymn in our sandbox turned clubhouse.

that we were wearing matching Easter dresses.

that we were playing Barbies and she always got to use the pink couch that I really wanted.

that we were making a “List of Stuff” because we were bored.

that we were sitting in the kitchen, black markers in hand, crossing out all of the non-Chevy vehicles in The Bargaineer.

that we were playing “Poor People” under our make-shift tent in her bedroom.

that we were fighting over who got to sit in the front.

that we were spending summers in our backyard swimming pool diving for diving sticks and playing Marco Polo.

that we were riding our bikes to Deer Trail.

that we were kneeling side by side asking Jesus to save us on that Sunday night in April.

that we were eating freeze pops and playing basketball in the driveway.

that we were singing Christmas carols together in front of tree.

that we were cooking with her Easy-Bake Oven.

that we were playing with Kelly and Ryan or over next door bothering Becki.

that we were switching rooms because her room was smaller and easier to clean.

that we were brushing our teeth and getting ready for our 9:30 bedtime asking if we could stay up just a little bit longer.

that she was the little girl with curly hair and chubby cheeks who copied everything I did and drove me crazy doing it.

What I wouldn’t give for some of those yesterdays back.

I love you, Sissy, and can’t believe you’ll be walking down the aisle in just a few short hours! I am so glad that we got to spend our yesterdays together! God gave me such a precious gift when He gave me my baby sister almost twenty-one years ago! Johnny is so blessed to have the privilege of spending forever with you!

Ok way to go make Mom cry as I sit here at 1:13 in the morning, wondering were has the time gone? I love you, Megan and John, and wish you all the best for years to come. Keep Christ first, and never go to bed mad.
    Love,
    Mom

I so agree Tara – Sarah’s message had the same affect on me. I write through shedding of tears.
You and BIG Ben have been wonderful for both your girls.

Sarah – thanks for sharing. You made me tear up to give such a tribute to your baby sister. I love the pictures as I also remember when you looked just as you do in those pictures. Your parents have lived by example and this is reflected in both you and Megan. Thats the beauty of putting GOD first in your life and all four of you represent the ‘All-AMERICAN-FAMILY’ and so refreshing to be around. Just glad that I have had the pleasure of knowing you and your family so well.
    GOD Bless.
