Resurrection Morn

24 Apr

A quiet garden. At sunrise.

For some today would be just another ordinary day.

For others it would be the day that all they held on to would either become reality or leave them forever hopeless.

As day broke, the latter approached the sepulcher, wondering if the words He spoke would be more than words.

“And they found the stone rolled away …”

Luke 24:2

Gone! The body of their Lord was gone!

“He is not here, but is risen!” (24:6) declared a man in shining garments.

I wonder what they were thinking as they stooped down to behold “the linen clothes laid by themselves” (24:12) and the tomb where they had laid their Master empty.

Then “they remembered his words” (24:8) realizing that the One that they had hoped in was no longer wrapped in grave-clothes but alive just like He had promised!

What a glorious resurrection morn for the followers assembled in that garden!

Jesus is alive

and

because of that

we that were dead

can live also!

Happy Easter, friends!

An empty tomb gives us Hope that the religions of this world can’t offer.

Rejoice in that hope, today!
