I found joy…

22 Dec

in the last day of school for eleven days!

in tiny voices singing carols as they eagerly awaited dismissal for Christmas break!

in Luke chapters one and two narrated by third graders.

in hearing one of my students read her passage flawlessly in the narration after four years of learning how to overcome her struggles with dyslexia! 🙂

in classroom Christmas parties and the excitement they bring!

in the warmth of home.

in a few extra hours to do laundry and catch up on the things that have piled up in the busyness of the last few weeks.

in hearing God’s Word preached.

in the sweet fellowship shared with other believers.

in finding more Christmas cards in the mailbox.

in presents wrapped and placed beneath the tree.

in twinkling lights lighting up the darkness of  a cold winter night.

in living the abundant life He’s so lovingly blessed me with!

Just a few of the things that brought joy to this Wednesday before Christmas!

What brought you joy today, sweet friend?

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

Proverbs 17:22

I found joy, as I always do, in reading your post this morning. Love you Sara.
