My Savior, My Shepherd…

14 Nov

He loves me! He leads me! He feeds me! He’s my Savior, my Shepherd, my Friend!

I am overwhelmed by His desire to be Present in my life!

I read these verses this week and I cannot get them off of my mind! I often limit myself in my Bible study, finding comfort and help in my favorite verses and particular books, but I’m glad I took time to read in Ezekiel so that I could be reminded of my Shepherd’s sweet presence!

” I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick…”

Ezekiel 34:15

Because of my Shepherd, I never have to worry about going hungry, physically or spiritually. He promises that his seed will never “beg…bread.” (Ps. 37:25) He promises spiritual filling by each word written upon every page of His Word.

Because of my Shepherd, I am no longer wandering, lost, alone and aimless. He sought me out and lovingly brought me back to the safety of His fold.

Because of my Shepherd, I can “lay me down in peace and sleep” (Ps. 4:8) knowing He has everything under control.

Because of my Shepherd, my heart once broken has been bound up, completely healed from the hurt once experienced.

Because of my Shepherd, I have been strengthened from the sin-sickness of selfishness.

Because of my Shepherd, “goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” (Ps.23:6)

Because of my Shepherd, I am one blessed sheep! 🙂

“He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom…”

Isaiah 40:11
